Recently, Zul's(my boyfriend) father just passed away. It was a shocking news to me and to the rest who are closer to him. I was at my relative's house when Zul messaged me "My dad passed away". I was really surprise with the news. I was speechless, and straight away called Mum.

After knowing the news, my relative too wanted to pay a visit to Zul's house. We went there and meet Zul's Mum and family.

The next day, Mum and me when to follow Zul to the cemetery for the ceremony.

A few days have passed, i always been by his side, i understand, he feel a bit of lost since his dad just passed away.

Somehow, deep down i feel after his dad's death, the family members are more closer than before. This is a good change yet, having his dad to leave in order to see this new change it's not a good experience.

For Zul:
Don't worry Sayang, I'm always by your side :)

Lesson learn:
Appreciate your love ones till the very end of their live.

Since my beloved pypy didn't know how the Malay Traditional Clothes look like, thus i will share some in this post =P hehe..

Firstly for the girls, they have two types of clothes which is known as
1] Baju Kurung
2] Kebaya

'Baju' means Clothe.

Example of 'Baju Kurung'

'Baju kurung Kedah'- which is worn by the lady

As time pass, fashion and style of clothes changes over time.. New Style adding on to the old ones becoming 'Baju kurung Moden'- (the picture below)
If you notice, the style pf the clothe at the hands, are puffed to create a new fashion which is preferred today. This, doesnt mean the old ones are extinct, some of them still sticks with the older designs to create an 'antique look'.

Fashion changes overtime, however, i believe that the term of the clothing will always remain.

Example of 'Kebaya'
The different between 'Kebaya' and 'Baju Kurung' is the front part. Also 'Kebaya' is the one which shows more of the lady's figure. =P That is why it is more popular compared to 'Baju Kurung'

As for the guys, they have
1] Baju Telok Belangah
2] Baju Cekak Musang

The style differs at the neck part, 'Baju Telok Belangah' has a curve neck line.

On the head, it is call 'Songkok'.Also, if you notice the 'skirt' the guy is wearing is called 'Samping'. This is a cloth which wraps around the waist. Furthermore, the name of the 'slipper' he is wearing is called 'Capal'.

Overall look of the guy, is traditional, same goes for the lady.

Move on to 'Baju Cekak Musang'

I'm not sure how to explain it, but i believe a picture can explains all =P hehe!
Thus, i hope with a bit of my knowledge , it will help you to understand more on Malay Traditional Clothes

Emily the Strange

Firstly, sorry for the late update, recently i have been busy around the house, helping Mum in the kitchen and cleaning. However, regardless of the non stop chores. I was given a "Off day" on my special day which is on 17 Sept(Thursday).

The first message received was of course from my beloved Kopet, next after reading the message i went in audi to check out on the "night people" in Audition. haha! I am sure they are aware who i'm referring to. I was expecting a greet from you-know-who. haha! At first i was upset :( but i know she is a forgetful person. Thus, i didn't take it to heart. :P ( <3

Upon reaching Marina, we head to the Bowling alley and played two games of bowling. In between the game, Kopet notice or feels like he seem to know some of the people in the group playing beside us. Haha! Small world, the guy approached him and asked and eventually they knew each other. Famous! lol! Anyways, after the small hand shake and all, the guy when back to his group and Kopet gave me the present, haha.. i was happy yet shy cause they are looking at us when we were taking pictures of me holding the present with Kopet. :P Unexpected act, they sang me a Birthday Song out loud making it more obvious >.<' I felt awkward, and my face turns red. Kopet just look at me and smile and not trying to cover me. I was really!!!! ( Aarrgh~) haha~

After bowling, we went to the cinemas, and watch 'Alien in the Attic'. It was HILARIOUS! Don't miss it! After the hours of laughing in the cinema, we head to Payah lebar to meet few friends of Kopet. We break fast at Banquet, Geylang was pack as usual especially during Ramadhan. I didn't have things that i need there, but seeing how pack the place is with people and the atmosphere when raya is nearing, it feels fun and enjoying at the same time eager for Raya! We walked around Payah Lebar and went home after. Even though, my birthday celebration is not so "fun" but i don't mind. As long i'm celebrating with someone who i care and love, i won't get bored. Oh yeah. The present Kopet gave me was a perfume!

Marriage?
My definition of Marriage would be two souls being One. After thinking of marriage i realize that our relationship was long enough to assure us to get married. However, i'm not sure if i'm ready to take this responsibilities. Furthermore, i am afraid of what will come in for the future. Mum already seeks for an answer while i'm stuck being clueless. Sometimes, i feel that the world is moving too fast that i can't catch up with it. Time passed just like that while we are running after it. Am i prepared? Is Mum being excited of being a Granny? Or i'm the one who should wake up and realize that i'm no longer a small girl who kept on relying on Mum to make decision for me or to wait for her to voice out to me and then i try to solve it? I guess i'm just afraid, afraid of marriage that i often avoid this topic when Mum came asking. I know Mum getting old and wants to see her children being safe and settled next to a person who she trust. But Mum, i know you seek for our happiness i too want you to be happy. But, somehow i'm stuck in between security and love. Yea i love him so.. yet i feel insecure ..

Once my aunt told me "To Achieve something you need to go through hurdles of obstacles.. Overcome it in order to succeed" I guess from this motivation statements, i will try to overcome the obstacles despite rain or shine, i won't despair easily.

I realize something different during Ramadhan, most of the people are always so aggressive and people tend to be furious even the slightest things. Is this true? maybe in my eyes but not to others. However, i always feel that we should be more calm and not too feel agitated by a minor things that can be handle over a cup of tea.

I guess this is what Ramadhan brings us for. Ramadhan is where all the Muslims will make themselves closer to the one(Allah). Allah is where we seek. Allah is where we always remember in mind, heart and soul. Allah is the place we can gain peace. Despite being close to Allah, Ramdhan also the month of fasting for the Muslims. Fasting means to prevent ourselves from eating, doing sins like gossiping, to lie, as we believe, this month is the month where all devils are chain or cuffed and only the "actual" us will behave in order to what we feel is good or otherwise. To add on, we also think that having the devil freed might actually influence us in a paranormal way which can't be explained yet this is the moment where we can show others we can do or earn good deeds and who we are made of.

Furthermore, i feel that Islamic is a wide range of Muslim people, which consists of different races, countries, status. Everyone can be a Muslim and nothing can stop oneself from being one.

Somehow, despite feeling happy of my new fresh look for my room, completion of baking 'kuih' someehow deep down i feel sorrow. I am fortunate that i still have my family by my side whereas to others, some of them are parent-less, relative-less or even alone in this world. Thus. i always prayed for my family to be always close to Allah and seek forgiveness from Allah of our sins. Also to provide togetherness in a family...

Typing this entry makes me feel sad which at the same time and if theres error in the post, do correct me..

Firstly, i'll apologized for not updating, recently i had many things to do, day after day. Thus these are some of the things I've been doing..
Friday:
Bake cookies with Mum (5pm to 2am)

Saturday:
Went out with my Little cousin. We watched a race between Boeing 747 and a Porsche. I voted for the plane, however, Porsche won the race!!! Darn![I should have follow my heart]

After the long day witnessing the race, i send my Cousin home and accompanied my Mum to Payah Lebah after. I was exhausted yet i didn't want to disappoint Mum. Thus, this is some ways to appreciate her when i still can =]

Sunday:
I really have a good rest, I woke up at 3pm, haha! it's not a good habit yet i was too tired and i guess Mum knows it and she let me sleep through the whole afternoon. =P

After the long rest, brother, sister and me watched "'Love Guru', it was hilarious and fun to watch. After nearing dinner time, i helped Mum with the cooking and setting up the table, as my Cousins plan to eat dinner with us. It was nice! There were variety of foods and it is nice to have relatives coming over, it really make the atmosphere fun and merrily.

Monday:
Basically, since i was too busy i neglect the urge of wanting to watch 'Princess Hour'. I didn't even sleep, and I actually blogging than resting my eyes. Also i can't believe it I finally finished watching Princess Hour >..<'.

Thus, i guess i had a pretty busy weekend, sorry if i didn't get to be there for you..

Yesterday, Dinah came to my house to watch DVD with me. I guess i really need a friend at home since most of the time my family members would already left the house around 5am and reached home around 5 to 6pm. It's alright for 1st brother and Dad to work but for Mum, somehow i rather have her staying at home so that i won't be bored or alone at home. Even though Mums loves to nag yet, without them its totally a silent killer for me. I rather have Mum by my side, shes always been there for me regardless of rain or shine.

Back to "Dinah and Me"...

Dinah brought a DVD titles 'Princess Hour'. When Dinah told me about bringing 'Princess Hour' over, i kept on thinking, why does the title sounds familiar and i bet i heard it somewhere before. Af first i though that the Korean movie was a bit boring and slow. But it was not, as i watched with Dinah, it interests me more on whats will happen next. I seek Dinah for answers, but she said she have not watched it yet. She was really GOOD at faking that cause i really believed her. I guess i'm dumb to see that coming. haha!

While it was still on the 1st CD out of 4, Dinah already asleep while i continue watching. It was hilarious and can't stop laughing watching 'Princess Hour'. Also about 2 hrs of watching then i came to realize that.. Oh yeah! Aziemah once told me, shes watching this Korean movie/drama like 5hrs straight related so some 'Princessss...' then it came to me how she was into the movie. Lol! But i guess she was right! It was damn nice! I hope whoever have not heard of this 'Princess Hour' do get the DVD and watched it. I can assure you, you wont regret it! =P

And do listen to this song, its really nice, its the main song of the movie :) Somehow, when watching this movie, it feels that the Crown Princess reflects me, hah! i can be clumsy and dumb sometimes =x
